Who we are

New Elm Estates is a Nova Scotia-based business. Our website at:  showcases the building lots we have for sale in Nova Scotia, Canada.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

We respect the privacy of every person who views our website. Accordingly, this website is solely for the promotion of our building lots. Website visitor data collected is limited to:

  • our contact form with Google reCAPTCHA spam protection
  • use of embedded Google Map

Contact Form

If you enter information in our contact form, the information is sent via email to us, and not stored on the website. We use Google reCAPTCHA to provide spam protection. This service does use cookies, but they are necessary to protect against spam.  The contact form itself also uses a temporary cookie (with no personal identifying information) to help process the form. That cookie expires when you close the browser.

The contact information you provide is used solely to respond to your information request. We do not add you to a mailing list, or sell your information to an external party.

Google Map

On our Location page, we show a Google Map, customized to show the features of the New Elm Estates development. Viewing this embedded map is the same as viewing the webpage directly.  Google may collect data about you, use cookies, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to Google.

Who we share your data with

As mentioned above, Google Recaptcha provides spam protection for our contact form, and the Google Maps provides our location map.  Otherwise, for website visitors, this website does not use any additional first-party or other third-party cookies. We do not subscribe to third party tracking (marketing) services. You will not have an ad from us following you around the Internet.


Since we do use not cookies for website visitors, aside from necessary cookies, there is no need to opt out of cookies on this website.

Once you have accepted/dismissed the cookie notice bar (at the bottom of the page), the cookie notice will not be shown again, for another year.
